The Faculty of Arts holds an introductory meeting at the Berlitz Language Institute

The English Language and Literature BA program with the credit hour system at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, organized an introductory meeting about the Berlitz Language Institute and a celebration to honor the graduates of the first training course offered by the institute.

This was under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa El-Deen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Maha Amara, Acting Director of the English Language and Literature Department, and hosted by the Executive Director of the Berlitz Institute (Egypt), Ms. Nermen Mekken, a presenter from the Institute.

         
   
         

The meeting began with a speech by Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan, in which he praised the efforts made by the program, the efforts of the coordinator of this cooperation, Dr. Doaa Imbaby, and the efforts of Prof. Maha Omara and Dr. Rana El-Kholi.

During the event, Prof. Maha Omara praised the efforts of Berlitz Egypt Language Institute and its comprehensive training course that qualifies students for the labor market. Then, Ms. Narmen Momken spoke about Berlitz Institute and the services it provides to students from various universities and scientific and literary specializations, and its goal of preparing six thousand graduates capable of entering the labor market by training them on the special Berlitz curriculum, in solidarity with the Digital Egypt Builders initiative launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology under the auspices of the President of the Republic.

         
   
         

The Executive Director expressed her great happiness with what she saw in the course students who applied from the English Language and Literature program with the credit hour system, and their commitment, interest and great enthusiasm in receiving all the information, experiences and skills.

In this context, Ms. Narmin Momken spoke about the criteria for accepting students into the course, which included their ability to speak and deal in English. She praised the trainee students’ constant interest in keeping up with the developments of the language, their readiness to teach the language later, and their great enthusiasm and desire to undergo this unique experience. She then concluded her speech by expressing her happiness to know that the level of satisfaction from the students and the institute reached 97%, which means the success of the course. She also expressed the institute’s desire to continue future cooperation between the English Language and Literature Program with the credit hour system and the Berlitz Institute.

The events concluded with honoring the graduates of the first batch of male and female students in the English Language and Literature Bachelor’s Program with the credit hour system.
