Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Prof. Gregor Majdič, President of the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two universities and developing opportunities for academic exchange in teaching, research, and other joint activities.
The agreement was signed during the visit of the President of Ain Shams University to Slovenia, as part of the university's strategy to expand international cooperation.
Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen expressed his happiness with this cooperation, emphasizing that it serves as a bridge between the two universities and paves the way for new opportunities for academic and knowledge exchange in the fields of education and research.
He pointed out that Ain Shams University continuously seeks to expand its international partnerships with prestigious higher education institutions worldwide, with the aim of enhancing the quality of education, advancing scientific research, and strengthening its global standing.
He also expressed his hope that this agreement will be a starting point for a series of joint academic initiatives that will contribute to achieving the shared goals and aspirations of both sides.
The agreement includes the exchange of professors, researchers, and students, as well as the exchange of academic materials and information. It also covers the organization of conferences, seminars, lectures, and workshops, in addition to cooperation in joint research projects and joint supervision of master's and doctoral degrees.
On the sidelines of the agreement signing, Prof. Mamdouh Eldamaty, Professor of Egyptology at the Faculty of Archaeology at Ain Shams University and former Minister of Antiquities, delivered a lecture on Pharaonic antiquities, offering important insights into this ancient heritage.
