The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology has announced the opening of nominations for the State Awards and Academy Awards to honor scientists and distinguished individuals from Egypt, as follows:

First: Nile Prizes

Number of Awards: 2

Value of Each Award: 500,000 Egyptian pounds, plus a gold medal.

Fields: Sciences (basic, agricultural, medical, engineering) and advanced technological sciences.

Second: State Appreciation Awards

Number of Awards: 10

Value of Each Award: 200,000 Egyptian pounds, plus a gold medal.

Fields: 5 awards in basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences, and 5 awards in advanced technological sciences.

Third: State Excellence Awards

Number of Awards: 7

Value of Each Award: 100,000 Egyptian pounds, plus a silver medal.

Fields: Basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences, and three awards in advanced technological sciences.

Fourth: State Incentive Awards

Number of Awards: 40

Value of Each Award: 50,000 Egyptian pounds.

Fields: Sciences and technology in branches such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, biology, agriculture, medicine, and engineering.

Eligibility Requirement: Candidates must be under the age of 40 as of December 31, 2024.

Additional Awards:

Pioneers Awards:

4 awards, each valued at 100,000 Egyptian pounds, in the fields of basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences. These are awarded to senior scientists with notable scientific and technological achievements.

Women’s Awards:

Appreciation Awards: 4 awards, each valued at 50,000 Egyptian pounds for women over 45.

Incentive Awards: 4 awards, each valued at 30,000 Egyptian pounds for women under 45, in fields such as agriculture, health, water and energy, and social sciences.

Note:

The University’s Awards Office invites interested faculty members from relevant university colleges to complete the requirements (for Nile Awards, Appreciation, Excellence, Pioneers, and Women’s Appreciation Awards) well before the deadline to allow for necessary approvals and nominations.

The nominations should be finalized through the relevant university colleges and submitted to the General Administration of Scientific Research at the university by November 18, 2024.
