The Supreme Council of Culture has announced the opening of nominations for its awards in the fields of arts, literature, and social sciences, including the Nile, State Appreciation, Incentive, and State Excellence Awards. The final deadline to apply to the Supreme Council of Culture is December 31, 2024.
Nile Award
Awarded to a distinguished individual in each field of arts, literature, and social sciences. Each award is valued at 500,000 Egyptian pounds and includes a gold medal.
Each Nile Award for Egyptian innovators and the Nile Award for Arab innovators is valued at 500,000 Egyptian pounds and includes a gold medal. It cannot be divided or awarded to the same individual in a particular field more than once.
There are three Nile Awards for Egyptian innovators (one each for arts, literature, and social sciences).
One Nile Award is allocated for Arab innovators in any of the fields of arts, literature, or social sciences.
State Appreciation Award
Awarded for excellence in intellectual production in arts, literature, and social sciences. Each award is valued at 200,000 Egyptian pounds and includes a gold medal.
Each State Appreciation Award is valued at 200,000 Egyptian pounds and includes a gold medal. It cannot be divided or awarded to the same individual more than once.
There are ten State Appreciation Awards allocated (three for arts, three for literature, and four for social sciences).
State Excellence Award
Awarded for excellence in intellectual production in arts, literature, and social sciences. Each award is valued at 100,000 Egyptian pounds and includes a silver medal.
Each State Excellence Award in each field is valued at 100,000 Egyptian pounds and includes a silver medal. It cannot be divided or awarded to the same individual in a particular field more than once. Applicants must submit the following documents and upload them on a CD.
State Incentive Award
To encourage intellectual production in the fields of arts, literature, and social sciences. Each award is valued at 50,000 Egyptian pounds.
There are 32 Incentive Awards, each valued at 50,000 Egyptian pounds, in the fields of arts, literature, social sciences, legal, and economic sciences.

Note:
The University’s Awards Office invites interested faculty members from relevant university colleges to complete the requirements (for Nile Awards, Appreciation, and Excellence Awards) well before the deadline to allow for necessary approvals and nominations.
Nominations should be completed through the relevant university colleges and submitted to the General Administration of Scientific Research at the university by November 18, 2024.
