The Education and Students Sector at Ain Shams University launches a series of awareness symposiums on the dangers of addiction in cooperation with the Anti-Addiction Fund
Today, the first activities of a series of symposiums organized by the Education and Students Sector at the university, represented by the University Students Union, in cooperation with the Anti-Addiction Fund, to raise awareness of the dangers of addiction, were launched at the Faculty of Girls for Science, Arts and Education at Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof.  Mohamed Diaa Zain El- Abedeen, President of the University, and the coordination of Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty.
The symposium was held under the title “Addiction... Social Risks and the Fund’s Role in Addressing the Issue,” and was attended by Dr. Rasha Mohamed Rashad, a researcher at the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse, and the Coordinator of Preventive Programs at Ain Shams University.
 
         
   
         

The symposium addressed the dangers of addiction on the individual and society, and highlighted the role of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse in combating this phenomenon, including the treatment and social rehabilitation services provided by the Fund via the hotline (16023). The symposium also included a review of early detection methods and prevention methods.
The seminar received great interaction from the students who showed interest, which was evident in the questions that were asked. The Anti-Addiction Fund announced a volunteer program that allows students to join intensive training courses to obtain certificates that enable them to participate in the ongoing awareness program within the faculty.
