The Ain Shams University theater team won three awards at the 17th edition of the Tangier International University Theater Festival in Morocco, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University. The team received the award for Best Actor, shared by students Ibrahim El-Mougy and Ephraim Kamal, the Best Ensemble Performance award, and the Best Scenography award for Mohamed Zaki. The competition included teams from seven countries: Armenia, France, Cameroon, Morocco, Tunisia, Oman, and Egypt.
In this context, the President of Ain Shams University extended his congratulations to the Ain Shams University team for this remarkable achievement and their success in winning three awards at the Tangier International University Theater Festival. He emphasized that such cultural and artistic participation elevates the university’s international standing and reflects the great effort and creativity presented by the students.
Ain Shams University’s participation was supervised by the Education and Student Affairs Sector and the General Administration of Youth Welfare, with the Artistic Activities Department coordinating the university’s theatrical presentation, “It Happened by Chance Somewhere,” based on the play The Case of Enouf by Marousha Belata, adapted and directed by Ahmed El-Gohary, with scenography by Mohamed Zaki and directed by Khaled Manshi.
