The Self-Sufficiency Theater Festival officially began yesterday under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, with participation from 15 faculties. The festival runs from December 18th to January 2nd, with daily performances at 7 PM on the stage of the Faculty of Women.

The event is overseen by Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and organized by the Supreme Artistic Committee of the University Student Union in collaboration with the Artistic Activities Department at the General Directorate of Youth Welfare.

The jury includes renowned experts: Prof. Essam Abdel Aziz, Professor of Theater Criticism at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Academy of Arts, Prof. Sayed Khater, Professor of Acting and Directing at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Academy of Arts, and Prof. Ahmed Shawky, Professor of Scenic Design at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Academy of Arts. The participating faculties are: Archaeology, Mass Communication, Science, Dentistry, Medicine, Agriculture, Law, Business, Faculty of Girls, Computer and Information Sciences, Al-Alsun (Languages), Engineering, Education, Specific Education, and Arts.
