Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and the coordination of Prof. Omar El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the faculty organized a symposium entitled "You are stronger than drugs" as part of a series of symposiums organized by the Education and Students Sector represented by the University Student Union in cooperation with the Anti-Addiction Fund.
The symposium revolved around the dangers of the drug phenomenon and its consequences on the individual and society. The role of the Anti-Addiction and Treatment Fund, its departments, and its role in treatment and social rehabilitation, represented by preventive programs and the hotline for treatment and social rehabilitation, number 16023, was also highlighted.
The symposium also addressed early detection and how to prevent this phenomenon, in addition to addressing the legal aspect of drugs by discussing the Anti-Narcotics Trafficking Law and raising awareness of the crimes associated with it that affect daily life.
