The Awards Office at Ain Shams University organized a training meeting with the Cultural Relations Managers and Awards Officers in all faculties of the university, with the aim of discussing the requirements of the awards and ensuring the continuity of the university's excellence in this vital field, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.
The meeting comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's keenness to enhance competition and achieve academic leadership, as the university continues to excel through its scholars and pioneers in various disciplines.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Networks and Information Technology Center, under the supervision of Prof. Alaa El-Din Abdel Halim Farag, Supervisor of the Awards Office at the university, and Mr. Mohamed Fathy El-Khatib, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, in the presence of the directors of the departments concerned with the awards and a number of representatives of the departments in the faculties, and in cooperation with the Networks and Information Technology Department and the University's e-portal team.
The meeting witnessed the attendance and interaction of cultural relations officials and followers of the awards system in various faculties, where all relevant topics were discussed, with the aim of enhancing performance efficiency and achieving excellence. The discussions included facilitating the procedures for submitting and following up on applicants from faculty members for the state awards presented by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and the Supreme Council of Universities, in addition to local, regional and international awards and university awards at various levels.
The meeting also discussed updates to the Ain Shams University guide, and the inclusion of the University's Appreciation Award for Women for this year, with a focus on facilitating access to forms and guides for faculty members to facilitate all application procedures.
This training meeting comes within the framework of the university's efforts to support the academic and technical competencies of faculty members, with the aim of enhancing their effective participation in competitions and awards. This effort represents part of the university's strategy aimed at improving its global ranking, consolidating its leadership in the field of awards, and achieving more distinguished achievements.
The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations that included continuing periodic follow-up and providing technical support to the Cultural Relations Departments and Awards Officers in the faculties, in addition to organizing field visits to follow up on the awards system and improve the quality of performance. The importance of holding periodic meetings to monitor developments and submit performance reports was also emphasized, with the aim of overcoming obstacles and enhancing communication with the Awards Office to keep pace with various developments in the field of academic awards, in a way that enhances the university's position and supports its competitive continuity.
