Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Buraimi University College in the Sultanate of Oman, signed two academic affiliation agreements between the Faculties of Arts and Media at Ain Shams University and Al Buraimi University College.
The agreements were also signed by Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communicaion, and Prof. Yasser Fouad, Dean of Al Buraimi University College. The signing ceremony was witnessed by His Excellency Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser bin Muslim Al-Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and the deans of the two faculties.
The two agreements come as a new step to enhance the close academic partnership between Ain Shams University and Al Buraimi University College, which began in 2011 in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and what this cooperation has achieved in terms of success and excellence and enhancing academic cooperation between the two institutions, which contributes to raising the educational and research level. The two agreements aim to offer academic programs at the headquarters of Al Buraimi University College in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman to meet the changes and societal requirements in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Faculties of Arts and Media at Ain Shams University are scheduled to contribute to designing the agreed upon academic programs in cooperation with Al Buraimi University College and providing experienced and qualified faculty members to implement the study program according to the approved academic standards, in addition to cooperation in applying academic quality standards to ensure the achievement of distinguished educational outcomes. The two agreements also include the exchange of scientific consultations between the two parties, and work to develop the scientific and administrative capabilities of academic cadres by organizing joint training programs. The duration of each agreement extends for ten years, starting with the launch of the program.
It is worth noting that a delegation from Al Buraimi University College in the Sultanate of Oman visited the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Media at Ain Shams University, in addition to a tour of the Saffron Museum.
At the end of the meeting, shields were exchanged between the two sides.
