In continuation of the series of seminars organized by the Education and Students Sector at Ain Shams University, represented by the University Student Union, in cooperation with the Anti-Addiction Fund, the Faculty of Education organized a seminar entitled "Drugs and their Impacts on the Individual and Society" under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and coordination of Prof. Safaa Shehata, Dean of the Faculty of Education.
At the beginning of the seminar, the film (4x6) produced by the Fund was shown about the story of an addict recovering from addiction.
The role of the Anti-Addiction Fund and its departments and its role in treatment and social rehabilitation, represented by preventive programs and the hotline for treatment and social rehabilitation, number 16023, was also highlighted.
The seminar also addressed early detection and how to prevent this phenomenon, in addition to addressing the legal aspect of drugs by addressing the Anti-Narcotics Trafficking Law and raising awareness of crimes related to it that affect daily life.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Rasha Mohamed Rashad, a researcher at the Anti-Addiction Fund under the Prime Minister's Office and Coordinator of Preventive Programs at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Badr Abdel Aziz Badr, Director General of Legal Affairs at the Drug Control and Treatment Fund.
