The Faculty of Mass Communication organizes a seminar on the production of sports media content

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Prof. Salwa Soliman, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ain Shams University organized a symposium on "Creating Sports Media Content" in the presence of journalist Mohamed Iraqi, Head of the Sports Department at Youm7, Media Director of the Egyptian Football Association, Media Coordinator of Tazkarti Company, and Sports Content Director at Al-Hayat Channel. The IClub and Ex-Demic teams at the faculty participated in organizing and covering the symposium, in the presence of a number of faculty members, assistants and students.

Prof. Heba Shaheen welcomed journalist Mohamed Iraqi, a graduate of the Department of Communication and Media Sciences at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, who is an example of striving over the years to achieve excellence in the field of sports media.

         
   
         

Mohamed Iraqi stressed the importance of journalism, which represents the basis for all media specializations, adding that the journalist must always search and learn about everything new in his field of specialization, especially in the field of sports journalism, to be able to write professionally through specialized culture in a specific field.

Al-Iraqi stressed the need for the journalist to learn discipline and strive to develop the language in a way that makes him distinguished in his field. The need to achieve distinctive relationships with sources in various locations inside and outside the country, which enables the journalist to achieve the lead and verify his sources of information from more than one source. He explained that there is no room for mediation in professional media work that depends on self-efficiency, scientific study and experience gained in the field. He called on students to benefit from the study period in practical training and gaining experience to be qualified for the labor market and informed them of the latest in the field of emerging press sites so that they can gain practical training opportunities.

At the end of the symposium, Mohamed Iraqi presented the Egyptian national team shirt to the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Prof. Heba Shaheen honored journalist Mohamed Iraqi in appreciation of his distinguished efforts in the field of sports media.
