His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, issued a Republican Decree to renew the appointment of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University for a period of 3 years.

It is worth noting that Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy since April 2021.

Her academic experience extends to her work as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo in Canada for four years, and she has also held many administrative positions from Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, then Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, then Dean of the Faculty.

Dr. Amany holds the position of Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Supervising Compulsory Training (Excellence) for Pharmacists. She played a prominent role in developing the Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Clinical Pharmacy programs to be in line with the standards of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA.

Dr. Amany is also a member of many prominent scientific societies such as the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and the American Nano Society. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Drug Authority and participates in the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia Drafting Committee.
