Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, the Central Committee for Student Union Elections at Ain Shams University announced today, Thursday, the date for the start of the electoral campaign for candidates for the university student union elections according to the timetable for student union elections announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced the number of students applying for student union elections for the academic year 2024/2025, as the total number of applicants for the elections reached 28,628 male and female students (14,138 male students - 13,206 female students), distributed among government universities, private universities, technological universities, private universities, and institutes. The number of students applying for the Ain Shams University Student Union elections for the academic year 2024/2025 amounted to (716) male and female students.
The first round of elections will be held in the faculties, and the sorting and announcement of the results will be on November 24, while the second round will be on November 25. Then, the elections for the committee secretaries and their assistants will be held at the faculties level on November 26, and the elections for the union president and his deputy will be held at the faculties level on November 27, while the student elections will end with the election of the committee secretaries and their assistants and the president and vice president of the university union on November 28, 2024.
