Within the framework of the presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Building the Human Being", the Faculty of Archaeology at Ain Shams University organized a symposium entitled "The Role of Emotional Intelligence in Professional Success", under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Dr. Nawal Gaber Mohamed, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Reham Attia, Academic Director of the Psychology Program at the British University in Egypt, who addressed the main axes of emotional intelligence and its importance in achieving professional success, focusing on several points, the most important of which are how to build strong relationships by enhancing effective communication and building trust with colleagues and clients, the method of making sound decisions by controlling emotions and assessing situations objectively, dealing with work pressures by adapting to challenges and overcoming frustration, and ways to deal with difficult personalities, whether they are managers or coworkers.
It is worth noting that this symposium comes within a series of events that aim to enhance students' personal and professional skills, in line with the university's orientations in preparing a generation capable of facing the challenges of the modern labor market.
