Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, won the Regional Award for Landscape Architecture in the Middle East, sponsored by the International Federation of Landscape Architecture (IFLA), Academic Excellence in Urbanism and Landscape 2024. This came during the activities of the 2024 Middle East Landscape Architecture Conference, which was held this year in Riyadh, in cooperation with the International Federation of Landscape Architecture.
The conference aims to highlight sustainable innovation, creativity and accessibility in the design of sustainable urban spaces and the professional and academic development of landscape architecture in cities and urban sites. It is worth noting that the celebration witnessed the distribution of several awards from multiple categories such as the Overall Works category, the Academic Excellence category, the Project of the Year category and the Student Projects category.
