Confucius Institute of Ain Shams University discusses "Chinese philosophy and its impact on relations with the Arab world in contemporary reality"

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Confucius Institute, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Confucius Institute organized yesterday, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, the first session of the Confucius Salon under the title "Chinese Philosophy and Its Impact on Relations with the Arab World in Contemporary Reality".

Prof. Mohsen Farjani, Professor of Chinese Studies at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University and the well-known translator, and Prof. El-Sawy Ahmed, Professor of Philosophy at Benha University and Founder of the China Cultural Salon, made a dialogue at salon. The symposium was moderated by Prof. Nasser Abdel Aal Abdel Fattah, Director of the Confucius Institute, at Ain Shams University.

         
   
         

The symposium discussed in the first axis the impact of Chinese philosophy and thought on China's vision towards Arab countries, and in the second axis the symposium discussed the Chinese-Arab civilizational dialogue.

The symposium was attended by a group of intellectuals, thinkers, ambassadors, academics, and those interested in Chinese affairs in Egypt, as well as Chinese researchers studying at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University.

The symposium is part of the activities of the monthly Confucius Salon.
