Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Karim El-Battouti, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, inaugurated the Scientific Day of the Oral Medicine and Periodontology Department. The event was attended by Prof. Dalia El-Qorshy, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Neven Hassan Khair El-Din, Head of the Oral Medicine and Periodontology Department, along with a distinguished group of faculty members.

Prof. Karim El-Battouti emphasized the Faculty's commitment to building its faculty members scientifically and practically in an integrated manner. He noted that this philosophy inspired the concept of organizing a Scientific Day for each department within the Faculty, alongside fostering collaborations with various healthcare and industrial sectors, as well as with dental faculties across different universities.

The event highlighted the latest innovations in dental implantology, periodontal surgeries, and the use of modern technologies such as medical robotics, guided surgical techniques, and laser applications in periodontal surgeries and treatments around implants. Additionally, the event showcased departmental research on using artificial intelligence in diagnosing periodontal and oral diseases.
