Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University, organized the Faculty's Career Day, with the participation of 14 international and local companies. Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, inaugurated the Faculty's Employment Day activities, in the presence of Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the Ain Shams University Alumni Association, Prof. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Hala El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, and Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research.
Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the day comes as a result of the Faculty's belief in applying the concept of comprehensive quality by providing distinguished cadres to meet the needs of the labor market at the local and international levels, and as a contribution from the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector and the Graduates Follow-up Unit to enhance communication with graduates of the Faculty of Al-Alsun to develop the academic, research and training plans of the Faculty in a way that achieves the development of the skills of students and graduates and directs them to available training and work opportunities.
She pointed out that this year's career day includes companies in various fields, including translation, Arabization, publishing, electronic publishing, tourism and teaching, and some companies specialized in human resources and recruitment.
For her part, Prof. Yomna Safwat, the Faculty’s Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, explained that the main goal of this day is to prepare students for the labor market and overcome the difficulties they face in employment, as the faculty is keen to build multiple partnerships to exchange experiences and open new horizons to develop students’ skills and prepare them for practical life.
During the meeting with the company representatives as part of the Career Day activities, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the Ain Shams University Alumni Association, Prof. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Hala Al-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, and Prof. Hind Asaad, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty, discussed with the company representatives the readiness of the students of the Faculty of Al-Alsun to enter the labor market.
She pointed out the importance of their proposals to develop the educational process and curricula with the aim of raising the competitive capabilities of students of the Faculty of Al-Alsun to meet the challenges of the labor market. On the other hand, employers' opinions were surveyed on the graduate's specifications and skills required for employment to bridge the gap between the faculty and the labor market, and the meeting ended with honoring company representatives for their contributions.
