Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the activities of the Self-Sufficiency Festival for Music and Choir were launched at the Grand Conference Hall Theater during the period from the sixth to the sixteenth of December, with the participation of the Faculties of Education, Business, Arts, Engineering, Law, Al-Alsun, and Girls. The concerts are held daily from 7 pm.

The jury consisted of Prof. Osama Ali, Professor of Musicology at the Faculty of Music Education, at Helwan University, Prof. Abdel Azim Ibrahim, Professor of Orchestral Performance Department at the Faculty of Music Education, at Helwan University, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Qader, Professor of Singing Department at the Faculty of Music Education, at Helwan University.

The festival is supervised by the Education and Students Sector, the Higher Technical Committee of the University Students Union, and the Artistic Activity Department of the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
