2500 beneficiaries of Ain Shams University's comprehensive development convoy for Sohag Governorate

Ain Shams University organized a comprehensive development convoy to serve the people of Sohag Governorate, West District, under the auspices of Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Serag, Governor of Sohag, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Technical Supervision, and Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Affairs.

         
   
         

During the three days of the convoy, about 2,500 beneficiaries received medical and pharmaceutical services in various medical specialties at the convoy’s clinics. Medical cases requiring greater medical intervention were transferred to Ain Shams University Hospitals. In-kind assistance and blankets were also provided to 500 beneficiaries in coordination with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Social Affairs Authority, and the Red Crescent Society.

On the awareness side, ten awareness campaigns were presented, attended by approximately 450 beneficiaries, and included various topics, including: healthy habits to prevent diseases, moral values ​​and their role in building society, the dangers of early marriage for girls and society and ways to confront them, and healthy habits to prevent diseases.

Prof. Ghada Farouk explained the interest of Ain Shams University medical convoys in providing health care to citizens, praising the fruitful cooperation between Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and the governorate in implementing these humanitarian initiatives that contribute to improving the level of health services in the community, stressing that this type of cooperation between universities and various government institutions contributes to achieving sustainable development and supporting the state's efforts to improve the quality of life for citizens.

Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Serag, Governor of Sohag, toured the various clinics of the convoy, praising the efforts of the team of doctors, nursing staff and all workers in the convoy.
