Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, received a high-level delegation from Aix-Marseille University in France.

The delegation included Prof. Stephen, Vice President for Scientific Research, and Prof. Sophia, Vice President for Humanities, where they discussed ways of cooperation between the two universities in the fields of arts, humanities and social sciences, dentistry, public health, and languages.

During the meeting, Prof. Ghada Farouk stressed that Ain Shams University is one of the most prestigious universities in Egypt and the Arab world, pointing out the diversity of its academic programs and the quality of its research, which makes it a leading center for education and scientific research.

She also reviewed the university's capabilities, including specialized faculties and institutes, in addition to research centers and university hospitals such as Al-Demerdash Hospital, which provide integrated medical and educational services.

In addition to providing libraries that include various knowledge sources, the university is also distinguished by offering postgraduate programs covering various specializations.

Prof. Ghada Farouk also highlighted the university's distinguished position in the field of scientific research at the regional and international levels, and its constant endeavor to strengthen its partnerships with international universities to improve its academic ranking.

On the other hand, the delegation from Aix-Marseille University reviewed the university's position there as one of the largest and most prestigious universities in France and Europe, offering diverse study programs that include multiple specializations.

The delegation also pointed out that the university contains advanced laboratories concerned with scientific research, which is conducted in cooperation with international research companies and institutions.

The university is distinguished by its focus on the fields of medicine and public health, environment and sustainable development, science and technology, law, and the humanities and social sciences.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International Students and Mobility Office, Prof. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Girls for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Samah Nasr, Head of the French Language Department at the Faculty of Girls, in addition to a group of faculty staff from both sides.

This meeting comes within the framework of enhancing academic and research cooperation between Ain Shams University and international universities, which contributes to achieving scientific excellence and supporting the higher education process in Egypt.
