Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, and the supervision of Prof. Nasser Abdel Aal, Director of the Confucius Institute, and Prof. Hassanin Fahmy Hussein, Acting Head of the Chinese Language Department, Ain Shams University students achieved significant success during their participation in the Chinese Poetry Recitation Competition, organized by the Confucius Institute at Cairo University. The event saw the participation of 20 teams representing 17 Egyptian universities, with a large attendance of Egyptian and Chinese officials, faculty members, and media representatives.
The students from the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University presented outstanding performances that were highly praised for showcasing their proficiency in the Chinese language and their skill in reciting poetry in Chinese. They succeeded in winning top positions in the competition. The first place went to the team that included students Rania Rashad and Kirillos Hany, while the second place was awarded to the team of Kirillos Nasser and Youssef Talaat, and the fourth place went to the team of Abdelrahman Adel Anwar and Kirillos Emad Azmy, all from the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University.
Today, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the winning students, accompanied by Prof. Hassanin Fahmy Hussein, Acting Head of the Chinese Language Department, and Mr. Abdel Rahman Adel, the department's teaching assistant, along with Ms. Rawan Yasser, another teaching assistant, who supervised the students during the competition. They took commemorative photos with the students and congratulated them on winning the top positions, encouraging them to continue their efforts to achieve further excellence both locally and internationally. Prof. Rashad reaffirmed her full support for the students and expressed her sincere wishes for success in all their local and international endeavors.
She pointed out that the performances presented by Ain Shams University students prove their excellence in Chinese poetry recitation, benefiting from the substantial support provided by the university in terms of training and follow-up on students' participation in various cultural events both inside and outside the university.
