Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the activities of the Self-Sufficiency Festival for Music and Choir concluded on the stage of the Grand Conference Hall. The festival took place from December 6 to December 16, with the participation of the faculties of Education, Business, Arts, Engineering, Law, Al-Alsun, and Girls.
The judging committee, consisting of Prof. Osama Ali, Professor of Music Sciences at the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University; Prof. Abdel Azim Ibrahim, Professor of Orchestral Performance at the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University; and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Kader, Professor of Singing at the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University, awarded prizes in the "University Choir Singing" category as follows: The Faculty of Engineering secured first place, the Faculty of Arts took second place, and the Faculty of Girls won third place. The faculties of Al-Alsun, Education, Law, and Commerce ranked fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively.
In the individual singing category, Abdullah Kamal El-Nagdy from the Faculty of Arts won first place in male student singing, while Malak Sherif Hosni from the Faculty of Al-Alsun took first place in female student singing.
In the choir training and conducting category, the first place went to Afnan Ashraf Taha from the Faculty of Engineering, while Amina Ashraf Ghoneim from the Faculty of Girls won second place, and Abdullah Gamal Osman from the Faculty of Arts came in third place.
In the group instrumental performance category, the Faculty of Al-Alsun won the first place, the Faculty of Engineering came second, and the Faculty of Commerce took third place, with the Faculty of Law securing fourth place.
In the individual instrumental performance category, Harvey Hany Makram from the Faculty of Engineering took first place, while Mohamed Mostafa Ali Hamed from the Faculty of Al-Alsun won the second place. Salma Medhat Shaaban from the Faculty of Al-Alsun tied for second place, while Abdullah Mohamed Muntasir from the Faculty of Engineering also secured second place. Farah Hany Farouk from the Faculty of Commerce won third place.
The Incentive Award was given to Ibrahim Gamal Ahmed from the Faculty of Nursing.
The competition was supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, the Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and organized by the Supreme Technical Committee of the University Students Union and the Artistic Activity Department at the General Administration for Youth Welfare.
