The Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, organized a meeting entitled "The Next Generation of Dentistry: Partnering with Artificial Intelligence", as part of the activities of the Continuing Dental Education Unit provided by the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, for faculty members, assistants and graduates of the college, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Karim El-Batouti, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Walaa Mohamed Hamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Dina Safwat, Director of the Continuing Dental Education Unit.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in artificial intelligence in the field of dentistry in diagnosis and comparison between different proposed treatment plans and implementing these treatment plans in the best ways. The event contributed to creating communication channels between the different specialties of dentistry and related specialties and providing an opportunity to learn about areas of cooperation and development. This distinguished gathering brought together distinguished lecturers and visionary leaders to explore the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of oral and dental health care, its challenges and future potential for doctors, researchers and teachers alike.
This event has enhanced Ain Shams University's position as a leading university in developing dental education, keeping pace with technological developments and artificial intelligence applications in education, serving the health and medical sector of society, and implementing joint research projects that benefit the axis of higher education, scientific research, and clinical dentistry applications.
During the meeting, Prof. Shehab El-Din Saber, Professor of Endodontics at Ain Shams University and the British University in Egypt, discussed the tasks of deep learning for dental research to encourage scientific research.
Prof. Nora Seif, founder of the Egyptian Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Association, shed light on artificial intelligence in dentistry, the roadmap, and the vision (EMRA).
Prof. Alaa Mohamed Ezzat, Professor of Oral Medicine and Periodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, spoke about the importance of integrating artificial intelligence into the practice and formation of oral and dental education.
As Prof. Amr Ikram, Consultant of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Dental Implantology, explained the current revolution in the field of dentistry and the clinical applications of artificial intelligence in the practice of modern dentistry.
