In an achievement that reflects Ain Shams University's leadership in supporting Egypt's Vision 2030, the university intends, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, to adopt the secured issuance system, as the university is keen to keep pace with the Egyptian state's direction towards digital transformation and achieve Egypt's digital goals according to the outputs of Egypt's 2030 strategy towards technological progress and development. Based on this, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Major General Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Salam, CEO of the Secured and Smart Documents Complex, signed a joint cooperation protocol to launch a project to issue graduation certificates for undergraduate and postgraduate studies and promotion certificates for faculty staff and teaching assistants at Ain Shams University in cooperation with the Secured and Smart Documents Complex to benefit from the complex's distinguished capabilities, as it is one of the largest global entities in the field of providing integrated technological solutions for issuing secure and smart documents of all kinds.
The university was keen to start this effective cooperation in an integrated electronic manner between the platforms of the complex and the university without any human intervention, so that Ain Shams University would be the first university to implement the system of identification documents in a fully automated manner to ensure accuracy, quality, speed and validity of documents, which supports the university's plan for automation and digital transformation according to the latest technological systems provided by the complex.
The project comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's efforts to enhance digital transformation and ensure the security of official documents, as the Secured and Smart Documents Complex is one of the most prominent modern national achievements, as it contains the latest global technologies for issuing and documenting government and educational documents, while ensuring high levels of protection against forgery.
Prof. Mohamed Diaa explained that Ain Shams University is one of the first Egyptian universities to implement this integrated system in cooperation with the Secured and Smart Documents Complex, which enhances its leadership in the field of higher education and raises the international classification by providing advanced services based on modern technology, and provides new opportunities to open horizons for international cooperation with global universities and research institutions, as secure documents receive wide recognition.
The President of Ain Shams University pointed out that the Biometric Center at Ain Shams University provides a qualitative addition to higher education as the first center of its kind within a public university, which facilitates electronic verification of identity and certificates at the international level, which enhances Egypt's international position in the Middle East and Africa region, reduces the administrative burden and human errors, saves a lot of time and effort at the administrative level, and combats forgery, which represents a serious threat to society and the economy.
