Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation announced the opening of nominations for the Arab Researchers Award in its 43rd session for the year 2025, which is the first Arab award concerned with honoring Arab researchers and supporting scientific research. Since its inception, the award embodies the Foundation's vision of inspiring a new generation of Arab researchers and experts and enhancing their role in providing innovative scientific solutions to address local, regional and global challenges.
The award is granted in recognition of distinguished scientific achievements that contribute to deepening scientific and applied knowledge, and address priority issues. The award covers six main fields, the topics of which are renewed annually based on the recommendations of the award's scientific committee.
The scientific fields 2025
First: Medical and health sciences
Include:
1- Using stem cells to treat incurable diseases.
2- Biomedicine delivery systems using nanotechnology.
Second: Engineering and technological sciences
Include:
1- Alternative and renewable energy storage technologies.
2- Intelligent traffic management systems.
Third: Basic Sciences
Include:
1- Preserving biodiversity and ecosystems.
2- Innovative recycling of waste.
Fourth: Humanities, Social and Educational Sciences
Include:
1- Artificial intelligence and the Arabic language.
2- The role of the media in shaping public opinion.
Fifth: Water, energy and food sciences
Include:
1- Innovations in water use efficiency.
2- Development of drought-resistant crops.
Sixth: Economic and administrative sciences
Include:
1- Financial technology.
2- Intellectual capital.
Nomination conditions and submission mechanism
The award opens its doors to researchers of Arab origin who have made distinguished scientific contributions during the past five years (2020-2024).
The most prominent conditions are:
1- The submitted research shall have been implemented in an Arab country.
2- Providing an abstract of the scientific contribution in both Arabic and English.

The award includes a certificate of appreciation and a shield having the name and logo of the award for the winners, in addition to a financial reward of $ 20,000 for each winner.
