President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has issued a decision appointing Prof. Amany Osama Kamel as Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research for four years.
Dr. Amany is a professor of pharmaceutics and industrial pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy. She has over twenty years of academic and industrial experience in pharmaceutical technology and nanomedicine.
She has worked as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo in Canada, where she led a research team in collaboration with Professor Shawn Wettig.
Dr. Amany has supervised numerous postgraduate students at both Ain Shams University and the University of Waterloo. She has authored many books and international publications in prestigious journals. Additionally, she contributed to the preparation of the fifth edition of the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia and has participated in many local and international conferences.
Furthermore, Dr. Amany is a member of several esteemed scientific associations, including the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and the American Nano Society. She also serves as a board member of the Egyptian Drug Authority and is a member of the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia drafting committee.
