In a new scientific achievement that reflects the academic and research excellence of Ain Shams University under the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Dr. Nermin Singer, Assistant Professor of Media and Children's Culture, obtained first place in Media Studies at the university level, and eleventh place at the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt, according to the AD Scientific Classification (Alper-Doger Scientific Index) for the year 2025. She also ranked 97th at the level of the African continent and came in 5000th place globally in the same classification.
The AD Science Index (Alber-Duger Science Index) is a ranking and analysis system based on the scientific performance and added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists. It also provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of their scientists.
The AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index) provides the most comprehensive analysis across 13 major fields and 197 sub-fields at global, national and regional levels, based on indicators such as the H-index, i10-index and citation count, including their values from the past six years. As of February 4, 2025, the rankings are determined by the overall H-index.
Dr. Nermin Singer has recorded a total of 251 citations, 243 of which were in the last 6 years, and achieved an H-index of 9 and an i10-index of 8, reflecting the impact of her research in the scientific community.
This confirms the pioneering role of Ain Shams University in supporting scientific research and consolidating its position as one of the leading academic institutions in Egypt and the Arab region.
