Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, received the students who won first place in the Middle East regional qualifiers for the Oxford University (Price) Competition, in the presence of Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International Students and Mobility Office. His Excellency congratulated the students on this distinguished achievement, praising their efforts and diligence that resulted in achieving this advanced position. His Excellency stressed the importance of such competitions in refining students' skills and enhancing their capabilities in the fields of media law and legal pleadings.
Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen also stressed the university's continuous support for its students in various academic and cultural activities, pointing out that winning such competitions reflects the level of education and scientific research at Ain Shams University. His Excellency also pledged to provide all support to the team in order for participation in the international competition to be at the highest level.
Ain Shams University team won first place in the Middle East. The faculty team consisted of students from the English Department of the Faculty of Law, namely: Mohamed Wael - second year, who won the award for best pleader in the competition, Ahla Emad, third year, Duaa Ali - third year, Farah Basem - fourth year, Karim Madin, fourth year, Karim Maged - fourth year. The team was trained by Reem Jamea - fourth year, and Reem El Shazly - graduate student. The team qualified to participate in the international competition held at Oxford University in Britain from April 21 to 25, 2025.
