Surveying Works Using the Integrated Total Station Level…A training course at the Faculty of Arts

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and as part of the Faculty of Arts’ efforts to enhance students' skills in modern technology and its practical applications, the Geographic Information Systems Unit at the Faculty of Arts held a training course titled 'Surveying Works Using the Integrated Total Station Level.

The course aims to provide students with the essential knowledge on how to use the total station and leveling instrument, enabling them to understand the fundamentals and practices required to perform measurement operations accurately and efficiently.

The course was supervised by Prof. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Manal Moharram, Director of the Consulting and Training Center, Dr. Mohamed Farid El-Metwally, Head of the Geographic Information Systems Unit at the Faculty, and was taught by Dr. Tarek Walid, a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering at the university.

This course represented a valuable opportunity for students to apply what they have learned in a practical environment, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing their job market opportunities by interacting directly with experienced instructors. Students were able to ask questions and receive immediate answers, which enhanced their learning process and increased their enthusiasm for scientific disciplines.
