A workshop on "Graphic Design and Design Fundamentals" at the Faculty of Al-Alsun

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Unit at the Faculty of Al-Alsun (ASU - Alsun) at Ain Shams University organized a workshop titled "Graphic Design and Design Fundamentals." The workshop aimed to provide students with basic knowledge about graphic design and its key principles, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel Hassan, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty; and under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Atia, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Mohamed Magdy, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Unit at the University; and Eng. Heidi Khaled, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of African Languages, Swahili Division, and Acting Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Unit.

The workshop was presented by trainer Abdel Rahman Sherif, who covered several topics, including design basics, color theory, typography, coordination, and the use of digital tools in design. The workshop also included practical applications to help students develop their creative skills in graphic design.

The workshop witnessed the participation of students from various faculties, including the Faculty of Al-Alsun. Graphic design skills contribute to supporting their specialties through designing visual materials for linguistic content, creating infographics, preparing professional presentations, and enhancing the visual identity of translators and content creators, which opens new horizons for them in digital and creative fields.

The event received a great deal of commitment from the students, who expressed their enthusiasm to acquire more skills in this vital field, reflecting the university's interest in developing its students' creative abilities and preparing them for the job market.
