Mr. Akram Al-Qassas explained the key differences between digital and traditional journalism, emphasizing the distinctive features of digital journalism, such as speed and continuous updates. This contrasts with traditional journalism, which took a long time to collect information, print, and release newspaper editions, with updates occurring at long intervals of up to 24 hours.

He also emphasized that journalism has always been and remains an attractive and important profession, regardless of the medium. The profession has continuously developed its output and has worked on integrating with other media outlets while benefiting from technological advancements in the digital environment.

He added that the current generations are fortunate to have information readily available and flowing, which has facilitated the process of journalistic scoops. However, this also requires attention to the accuracy of the information and ensuring its correctness, as timeliness and credibility must be maintained in published topics.

He highlighted the importance of adhering to professional standards, such as honesty, avoiding defamation, slander, and libel, as these could expose the journalist and the institution to legal accountability.

At the end of the seminar, the Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication honored journalist Mr. Akram Al-Qassas, in appreciation of his efforts in enriching the practical skills and experiences of the students.
