Dr. Islam Adly, Lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Director of the iClub Innovation Club at the university, emphasized that the center focuses on instilling innovative methods in students' minds alongside acquiring academic knowledge. He stated that the university aims to equip students with skills that can be adapted to serve the state and are actionable, unlike pre-university education. Additionally, he mentioned the importance of fostering a culture of innovation for students in their various post-graduation jobs, where graduates can innovate in entrepreneurship, aiming to create an integrated community environment that effectively serves the nation.
The unit serves as a hub for creativity, offering students support, guidance, and necessary training to develop their skills in various fields. This is achieved through organizing workshops, lectures, and seminars that highlight the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship, how to turn ideas into successful projects, and providing specialized training programs such as creative thinking, business model development, marketing, and project management, to equip students with the skills required to start their own ventures.
He further emphasized the provision of consultations and guidance, where individual advisory sessions are offered to help students develop their ideas and identify the steps necessary to turn them into practical projects. The unit also supports the establishment of startups by assisting students in founding their companies, providing the necessary financial and moral support for their projects, and connecting students with supporting entities, facilitating communication between students and supporters, such as investors and mentors, to help them secure funding and guidance for their projects.
In conclusion, he invited all students of the Faculty of Al-Alsun to benefit from the services of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and actively participate in its activities and programs. He confirmed the faculty’s commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship and providing all the necessary resources to achieve the unit’s goals. The floor was then opened for questions and discussion with the students.
