Within the framework of the President's initiative for women's health, and in continuation of Ain Shams University's efforts to promote health awareness and support early detection of diseases, the activities of the early detection campaign for breast tumors at Ain Shams University were launched, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and the supervision of Major General Ahmed Lashin, Secretary-General of the University, and organized by the Employee Care Department affiliated with the Personnel Affairs Department, which will last for two weeks.
The university hosts the mobile unit for early detection of breast tumors affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Population on campus, which provides x-rays, tests and mammograms for cases from the age of 35.

It is worth noting that the initial examination is carried out at the Faculty of Arts clinic starting from the age of 18, which transfers the required cases to the mobile unit to conduct the necessary examinations.
This step comes from the university's belief in its societal role in supporting women's health and enabling them to obtain the necessary health care, reflecting the university's commitment to achieving sustainable development goals in the field of public health.
