Based on what was reported to the administration of Ain Shams University regarding the launch of a major cultural and intellectual award by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina bearing its name, and out of the university’s keenness to support and encourage faculty staff who have made distinguished scientific and literary contributions that serve humanity, the university announces the opening of receiving nominations from faculty staff to compete for the Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Award.
This award honors prominent individuals and institutions that have made pioneering contributions in the fields of pure and applied sciences, literature and arts, and social sciences and humanities. The award is given annually in a specific field, with its first session for the year 2025 being dedicated to the theme “Applications of Green Technology for Achieving Human Well-Being and Happiness.”
Nomination conditions:
• Nomination is made through a letter approved by the college administration and submitted to the university administration to make the institutional nomination.
• Submitting the nomination letter issued by the university administration to the award administration, attached with the nomination justifications, the candidate's CV, a copy of his passport, and his approval of the nomination.
Amount of the award and honor:
• The winner receives one million Egyptian pounds in the field announced annually.
• A gold medal and an official certificate of appreciation are awarded to the winner.
Applying deadline:
Receiving applications for faculty staff from the university's faculties will continue until March 20, 2025
