As part of Ain Shams University’s keenness to enhance the concepts of safety and civil protection, the Faculty of Education conducted an evacuation experiment in the main building of the faculty, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Safaa Shehata, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Alaa El-Din Abdel Halim Farag, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The experiment was conducted on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, under the leadership of Mr. Adel Mohamed Abdel Latif, Director of the University's Civil Defense Department, and the specialized work team, in coordination with the Faculty's Civil Defense and Security Department.

The experiment included an actual evacuation of the Faculty's main building, due to its importance within the Faculty's vital infrastructure, which includes lecture halls, laboratories, administrative offices and control rooms, as it aimed to enhance the awareness of students, faculty staff and employees of rapid emergency response mechanisms.
The experiment was preceded by a series of preparatory workshops, which were organized on Sunday, February 23, 2025, under the supervision of the University’s Civil Defense Department, and in coordination with the Faculty’s Civil Defense Department, to ensure full readiness. It was followed by a comprehensive inspection of the building to ensure that all safety requirements were met.

The evacuation experiment started at exactly 11:00 am, and was carried out quickly and accurately, and witnessed positive interaction from students, faculty staff, teaching assistants, and workers, with effective support from the Faculty’s Student Union team.
The experiment was followed by a practical training on extinguishing fires using various types of extinguishers, under the supervision of the Civil Defense team, to ensure mastery of basic skills in dealing with fires.
At the end of the event, thanks were extended to the university administration, the Civil Defense, and all participants for their efforts in making the experiment a success, with a recommendation to repeat such training to enhance readiness and achieve the highest standards of security and safety, in line with the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030.
