Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, stressed the importance of student conferences in developing students' experiences, enhancing their scientific expertise, and strengthening their presentation and communication skills, in addition to their role in bridging the gap between faculty members and students, which contributes to enhancing their knowledge.
This came during the activities of the first student conference of the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University, which was held under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Karim El-Batouti, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, supervised by Prof. Reham Magdy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Maram Obeid, Conference Chair, Prof. Zainab Diaa, Secretary-General of the Conference, and Dr. Iman Fathy, Head of the Scientific Committee.
The President of the University praised the idea of the conference to be a distinguished scientific platform that discusses the latest sustainable concepts and technologies in dentistry.
He also expressed his admiration for the level of student research presented, and for choosing the green transformation as the main topic of the conference, stressing the importance of integrating sustainability and modern technologies in the medical field.
The university president inspected the posters hall for student research, and listened to the students' explanations about their academic and clinical research, and discussed them with them, which contributed to enhancing their research and scientific skills; as the students' clinical research was presented in the form of electronic posters, in support of the concept of green transformation, which the conference adopted as its slogan.
The conference included a number of scientific lectures presented by a group of faculty members, which also included the participation of a group of students. Their topics revolved around the importance of digital transformation in dentistry and how to document clinical cases and present them at scientific conferences.
The student research submitted was evaluated by a committee of faculty members at the college, and the results were announced at the end of the conference, where the winning students were honored with appreciation awards, in recognition of their distinguished efforts.
