About 7850 beneficiaries of Ain Shams University's comprehensive development convoy for the Red Sea Governorate "Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad"

As part of the presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Building Human," Ain Shams University launched a comprehensive development convoy in the Red Sea Governorate, covering Shalatin, Abu Ramad, and Halaib. The convoy lasted for five consecutive days, under the patronage of Major General Amr Hanafy, Governor of the Red Sea, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development. The event was organized by the university’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in collaboration with the Red Sea Governorate, the Southern Military Region, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Red Crescent Society, and the Rotary Club of Kasr El Nile.

         
   
         

A total of 3,014 beneficiaries visited the convoy’s clinics, receiving medical services, and 82 patients were referred to Ain Shams University Hospitals for further medical intervention. Additionally, 15 awareness campaigns were conducted for school students of various educational levels, attended by 750 students. These sessions covered topics such as proper nutrition and its impact on health, first aid, emergency preparedness, crisis management, and healthy habits to prevent diseases.

         
   
         

Furthermore, 4,000 dry food aid boxes were distributed, along with 2 tons of red meat and 350 blankets. The initiative was supervised by Prof. Hala Samir Suweed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community and Environmental Affairs, and Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, with coordination by Major General Hossam El Sherbini, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community and Environmental Affairs.
