The launch of the Family and Marital Guidance Course at the Faculty of Arts

The Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University organized a course on family and marital counseling, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, with supervision by Prof. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Manal Moharam, Director of the Center for Studies, Consultations, and Training at the faculty.

   
   
The course was presented by Prof. Mona Hafiz, who discussed key topics during the sessions, including the concept and importance of family and marital counseling, the role of family and marital counselors, and effective intervention techniques. She also reviewed the differences between marital and family counseling, the foundations of building a stable family, and the role of each member within it.

Prof. Hafiz highlighted cognitive distortions related to marriage and the impact of unhealthy relationships on mental health. She also provided strategies for dealing with common marital and family problems, along with an explanation of the stages of family life and how to enjoy life despite challenges.

This course is part of the faculty's efforts to promote mental and family health, enabling individuals to build healthy and stable family relationships, thus contributing to improving the quality of community life.
