In a faith-based atmosphere that reinforced the spirit of religious and cultural belonging, Ain Shams University concluded the Holy Quran Competition, which was organized by the Education and Student Sector in cooperation with the Cultural Activities Department of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, under the supervision of the Cultural Committee of the University Students Union. The competition took place from March 9 to 13, 2025, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, with distinguished participation from students of the university's faculties, who competed in several fields, including memorizing the entire Holy Quran, Islamic culture, Prophetic Hadiths, recitation and intonation, and religious chanting. The competition was held under the administrative supervision and general coordination of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Sector.
The students demonstrated their skill in recitation and excellent performance, receiving widespread praise from the judging panel and attendees.

The top prizes in the Quran competitions were won by Abdullah Omar Hashem from the Faculty of Agriculture in Quran Recitation, Malak Muhammad Kamel from the Faculty of Al-Alsun in the Hadith Competition, Azza Sayed Abdullah from the Faculty of Arts in the Islamic Culture Competition, and Mai Muhammad Mahmoud Amin from the Faculty of Science in the Religious Chanting and Supplication Competition.
In the entire Holy Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition, Mustafa Abdel Rahman Hajjaj from the Faculty of Medicine won first place in the boys' competition, while Heba Farag Saad from the Faculty of Agriculture won first place in the girls' competition.
In the competition for memorizing and reciting half of the Holy Quran, Sara Sofi Sobhi from the Faculty of Al-Alsun won first place. In the competition for memorizing and reciting one-third of the Holy Quran, Iman Alaa Abdel Hafeez from the Faculty of Girls won first place. In Memorization and Recitation Competition for Five Parts of the Holy Quran, Tasneem Ahmed El-Sayed from the Faculty of Dentistry won first place.
At the conclusion of the competition, the winners were honored with cash prizes totaling EGP 154,000 in appreciation of their efforts and to encourage them to continue to excel in the field of religious studies.
