The Faculty of Arts launches its annual "ARATHON 2" competition for student graduation projects

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abidine, President of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Arts announced the launch of its annual graduation project competition, "ARATHON 2." This competition serves as a leading academic platform to support student creativity in the literary and humanities fields.

In this regard, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the competition aims to encourage students to submit outstanding projects that address pressing national issues, most notably sustainable development and national identity, in addition to climate change and water scarcity, as well as unemployment, digital and green transformation, entrepreneurship, and the use of artificial intelligence.

The competition's fields vary from system design and application software to website development. It also includes video production, short films, and documentaries, theatrical performances, digital exhibition design, and field and survey studies.

To participate, students must be in the eighth grade (expected to graduate in 2025). Individual and group entries are accepted, including joint projects across different departments. The project must be submitted in both hard copy and electronic copies before April 20. The first-place winners will receive certificates of appreciation and cash prizes, which will be distributed at an official awards ceremony. Registration is open by scanning the QR code attached to the competition announcement, along with a project summary and personal information. The projects will be evaluated by a specialized jury, with the results announced at a special ceremony. This competition is a golden opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and develop their research and practical skills in a stimulating, competitive environment.
