Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls for Arts, Sciences, and Education, inaugurated the faculty's annual conference on Monday, April 7, 2025, under the title "Identity and Social Cohesion: Together We Create the Future."

The conference was attended by Prof. Asmaa Zaazaa, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Conference Rapporteur; Prof. Hanan El Shaer, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The conference will continue until April 30, 2025, with wide participation from the faculty's vice deans, department heads, faculty staff, and teaching assistants.

The opening session began with a detailed presentation by the vice deans on the achievements of their various sectors, including their departments and affiliated units, and the sector's activities during the year. Youth welfare activities at the faculty were also presented, followed by a special Mother's Day honoring ceremony.

In her speech, Prof. Amira Youssef emphasized that this year's annual conference aims to enhance social cohesion, consolidate a shared national identity, encourage dialogue and understanding, support sustainable development in various fields, and foster a sense of belonging among all segments of society.

She added that the conference covers the faculty's three sectors: Education and Student Affairs Sector, through organizing workshops and various student events; the Graduate Studies and Research Sector, through conferences and participation by academic departments; and the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, through seminars, scientific sessions, and specialized workshops.

She praised the richness and diversity of the program, reflecting the faculty's diverse range of scientific, educational, and literary disciplines, and serving the conference's objectives in a comprehensive and integrated manner.

At the end of her speech, she extended her thanks and appreciation to all attendees and to the integrated team inside and outside the faculty who contributed to the organization and success of the conference.

The opening session concluded with a distinguished theatrical performance titled "Robinson Crusoe," presented by the English Language Department. An exhibition by the Scientific Publishing Unit was also held on the sidelines of the conference.
