The Faculty of Pharmacy Receives a Delegation from the University of Nysa, Poland, to Discuss Academic Cooperation in the Fields of Pharmacy and Cosmetics

The International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, responsible for managing the European Academic Exchange Program "Erasmus+," received a high-level delegation from the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland, as part of the efforts to enhance international cooperation and exchange scientific expertise.

The visit was sponsored by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Rehab Othman, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and supervised by Dr. Noha El-Rafei, University Coordinator for the "Erasmus+" Program and Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Department; Dr. Aziz Shaker, Deputy Program Coordinator and Project Follow-up Officer at the Grants Office; and Prof. Maha Nasr, Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy and Director of the Faculty's International Relations Department.

         
   
         

The visiting delegation from Poland included Dr. Anna Opalka, Erasmus+ Program Coordinator at the University of Nysa; Associate Professor Dr. Elena Brill from the Department of Linguistics; and Associate Professor Dr. Magdalena Rogoz from the Department of Pharmacy.

 The delegation was received at the Faculty of Pharmacy by Prof. Rola Milad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Rania Hathout, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, and a number of faculty members.

The visit included extensive discussions on joint research collaborations, particularly in the fields of cosmetics and modern cosmetic technologies. The visit also included opportunities for student and faculty exchanges and participation in educational programs and international lectures.

Dr. Magdalena Rogoz delivered a distinguished scientific lecture on the latest therapeutic applications of lasers and infrared radiation in treating obesity and stimulating the lymphatic system, as well as carboxytherapy and radiofrequency techniques for eliminating sagging skin. The lecture was attended by faculty members and students.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation members expressed their great pleasure at the warm welcome and distinguished hospitality, which reflected the depth of relations between the two sides.
