The Faculty of Computers is ranked 2nd and 8th in the Egyptian Universities Competition for Information Security

Coinciding with the end of 2019, the Faculty of Computers and Information, Ain Shams University, is ranked second and eighth in the Egyptian Universities Information Security Competition, where faculty students participated in the final round of the Egyptian Universities Cyber Security CTF Competition 2019 on December 21, 2019.

The first stage of the competition was held in many Egyptian universities, and the first winning team from each university participated in representing their university in the final round. The first and second place teams at Ain Shams University participated in the first round in the final round. The main objective of this competition is to develop and enhance the technical skills of students in the field of information security.

Where IBM, as a supportive partner in Egyptian university competitions, offered free training courses in the field of information security for students participating in the competition. Student Karim Mohamed Anwar won the Ain Shams computers in the second place in the university's Revers3c team. The faculty students' team, Surprise-Mother-Hacker (Amr Fathi Mousa, Ahmed Al Mayah, Abdel Rahman Yassin) won the eighth position.
