Asmaa Fahmy donated the land on which it was built to encourage conservative families to send their daughters to be educated there.

The first nucleus of the Faculty for Girls dates back to the year 1933/1934 AD, when it was the Institute of Higher Education for Female Teachers, which was joined in 1950 AD to Ibrahim Pasha Al-Kabeer University “currently Ain Shams University”, and in 1956 AD its name was changed to “Faculty of Girls”, and due to the multiplicity of disciplines The faculty changed its name to the Faculty of Girls for Arts, Sciences and Education by Republican Decree No. 303 of 1985 and announced in the Official Gazette, Issue 30 on 7/25/1985, and it is a scientific edifice unique to Ain Shams University.
