Announcing the fellowship program of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa

The Visiting Professors Office at Ain Shams University announces the letter of Dr. Prof. Dr. Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities regarding the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Fellowship Program.

The program provides practical experience for young people at the beginning of their professional careers in the academic sector, the private sector, and international development institutions, as it allows them to work in several fields for a period of 6 months, renewable once.

The fellowship focuses on several topics including macroeconomic policy and economic governance, private sector development, poverty, inequality, societal policy, demographic policy, technology and innovation, climate change, environment, and natural resource management, including the green economy.

Those who hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have experience in preparing research can apply for this program, if they are proficient in English or French and are not more than 40 years old. The applicant will send a 1,000-word research paper to the field in which he wishes to register.

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa bears the cost of the airfare, in addition to a one-time settlement allowance of $3,000, and a monthly allowance of $3,000.
