The Arab University Ranking is based on four main indicators,

including teaching and learning,scientific research,

creativity,leadership and innovation,

international and local cooperation,

community service.

Each indicator is measured using nine criteria with carefully selected weights.

The ranking aims

to be a major incentive for academics. In addition to the quality of education and scientific research, the ranking indicated the importance of universities transforming into third and fourth generation universities with the introduction of two indicators for open science by strengthening international relations and cooperation with end beneficiaries, and encouraging them to transform their research outputs into products that benefit society. All of the above helps in attracting distinguished professors to teach at universities, and outstanding and incoming students to join universities for study.
