Under the slogan (Together, Hand in Hand, We Speak One Language), the annual conference of the Egyptian Digestive System Association will be held on June 10-11. The conference is an annual meeting that brings together those interested in diseases of the digestive system and liver.

Prof. Dr. Tarik Youssef, Professor of Internal Medicine, Liver and Digestive System at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and President of the Conference, explained that during the conference sessions, a special light will be shed on the Corona virus and its effects on the digestive system and liver, in addition to discussing all important topics related to stomach diseases, ulcerative colon, liver tumors, and digestive system tumors. And cirrhosis of the liver, fatty liver and its treatment and all health problems related to the digestive system.

He added that most of the Egyptian associations concerned with gastroenterology, including the Egyptian Liver Cancer Society, the Fatty Liver Society, the Digestive System Research Society, and the Egyptian Group for the Study of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases, will participate in the conference.

Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef confirmed that registration in the conference is free for all young doctors interested in diseases of the digestive system and liver, pointing out that the conference sessions will be daily from ten in the morning until six in the evening, and there will be (online) sessions and other direct attendance in a limited number to preserve social distancing, and transportation will be provided To transfer doctors from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University to the conference venue.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian Gastroenterology Association is headed by Prof. Sayed Shalaby, Professor of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and Secretary of the Society, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Professor of Internal Medicine, Liver and Digestive System, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Conference Chairman and Prof. Issam Bayoumi, treasurer of the association and secretary of the conference.
