The President of Ain Shams University receives a delegation from UNESCO

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, received a delegation from UNESCO, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Sherout Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Expatriates Department, Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at the university, and the UNESCO delegation included a. Mary Ann Therese Manson, Education Program Specialist at the UNESCO Regional Office for Science in the Arab States and the Cluster Office for Egypt and Sudan, Prof. Doaa Hazem Abu Naem, Project Officer at the UNESCO Regional Office for Science in the Arab Countries and the Cluster Office for Egypt and Sudan, and Ms. Amal Mohamed Mohamed, Education Program Officer at the UNESCO Regional Office for Science in the Arab Countries and the Cluster Office for Egypt and Sudan

The meeting comes to coordinate the celebration that will be held to honor Ain Shams University on the occasion of its winning of the UNESCO Confucius Prize for Literacy 2021 in partnership with the General Authority for Adult Education headed by Dr. Ashour Omary, for organizing online literacy classes for rural areas in Egypt.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the two parties in the field of education, and they discussed programs that include training school teachers, programs for various electronic platforms and the use of technology in the fields of education.
